The Ikorodu Inland Port City Development is a proposed “Billion Dollar Investment Opportunity” that aims to establish an integrated and multi-modal logistics hub in Ikorodu, Lagos State. It includes a regional inland port, free trade zone (FTZ), warehousing, industrial kitchens, a tech city, and residential and hotel areas.
The Ikorodu Inland Port development includes potential rail connectivity, with a proposed 500m rail connecting link. The plans show connections to the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Orange Line, the FG (Federal Government) rail line, and the Dangote Terminal, aiming to integrate with the broader rail network in the region, connecting to areas like Kano.
The proposed terminal facility at Ikorodu includes a port waterfront zone with multiple quays, Warehouses A and B, a cargo vehicle access road for trucks, an operating gate with access control checkpoints, and a large terminal yard operation area (10767 SQM) with a capacity for roughly 1156 containers. It also features customs and terminal administration offices, a bunker station, and personnel vehicular access/parking.
The GK&A SMARTCITY Development, which is part of the larger Ikorodu project, is depicted as 953,845.52m2.
